Relational Therapy
Relational therapy is a type of psychotherapy that focuses on the importance of relationships in a person’s emotional well-being. It’s based on the idea that our sense of self is shaped through interactions with others, and that emotional struggles often stem from relational issues—like difficulties with intimacy, communication, or trust.
In relational therapy, the therapist-client relationship itself is used as a tool for healing. The therapist pays close attention to how the client relates to others, including how they relate to the therapist, to help uncover patterns and develop healthier ways of connecting. It blends elements of psychodynamic, humanistic, and interpersonal therapies, making it flexible and deeply personal.
